Here I am on my first leg of my trip in Los Angeles visiting my brother, Ian. So I'm not quite a guinea pig in Peru yet, but I'll get there soon enough. It's been a total of just over 24 hours since I left home but I figured I might as well get in the habit of keeping up with this blog.
So what have I done so far? Well, I've had a bunch of tasty food and a bunch of relaxing. I realized I should take advantage of this free time as well as free internet while I have it! I just got back from a nice walk around Santa Monica, where I walked along the beach and among some pretty cute little shops, but somehow I only made it back with a bottle of wine.
Yesterday, I got a great tour around UCLA as well as a private planetarium show--that was so awesome Ian! And I can't believe tomorrow is Halloween. I'm usually so prepared, but this year, I don't even have an idea for a costume. I guess my mind has been elsewhere lately. Understandably, right? Well, I know we'll do something fun, even if it's just staying home and watching Dexter. That sounds pretty nice actually...Well, if you don't hear from me before Saturday, I'll be back here next time with my first impressions of Peru!

hey hayley, I thought it was lama's in Peru? Guinea Pig must be reference to your "new status". This adventure have anything to do with hydroponics? Have fun now, the starlight you see tonight will be closer tomorrow. Love ya Uncle Bob
